I started visiting this clinic for acupuncture after my first IVF attempt was unsuccessful. I have received excellent treatment from Dr. Hung, who holds a PhD in acupuncture. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. The clinic environment is clean, peaceful, and relaxing — I almost fall asleep every time during treatment. I could truly feel my body improving over the sessions, and the back pain used to bother me everyday fading away. After 4–5 treatment courses here, I was able to conceive! I believe the acupuncture treatments played a very important role in supporting my health and preparing my body for pregnancy. After receiving a cortisone injection and 12 physical therapy sessions for my left hip, I came to Melinda for help. I am noticing great improvement with my left hip pain. I was surprised and very happy when Melinda started treating my left wrist for my Parkinson’s disease. I have had a tremor in my left wrist for years. After treatment with Melinda, my tremor has improved markedly! I am now a true believer in Acupuncture!

I must start by saying that I never do reviews and I have never been to an acupuncturist. Then why am I writing this? After discovering that I had a large left side kidney stone and going through two kidney lithotripsy procedures that failed, I was looking at a physical surgical procedure to go in and remove the stone. Have you ever experienced kidney stone pain? On top of this problem I also had a fall prior to the diagnosis and ruptured a disc in my lumbar region that caused sciatica. Sciatica and kidney stone pain together! Help!! On a camping trip at Lassen National Park a person I didn't know saw me walking in pain and asked if I was ok. I briefly explained my situation. The individual was a holistic health healer and asked if I had tried an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine doctor. I told them I had not. They wondered why, I said I haven't thought about it? My search started when I returned home. My wife and I discovered Life River Acupuncture and Dr. Melinda and Dr. Sam by searching online. I decided to give them a try, why not, I have a looming kidney surgery. I am so glad I did! After multiple sessions and taking supplements for sciatica and kidney stones I could tell things were improving as my pain was subsiding. It was time to get X-rays and scans for a follow up visit with the urologist and consult for surgery. I knew the stone was gone before I went in as the kidney pain was gone as well as my sciatica relieved. Sure enough, the stone was gone. My Urologist had no good explanation other than they must have turned to sand and flushed out. I then told him that acupuncture and herbs did the job that lithotripsy surgery didn't. As of today, no stones or sciatica! Dr. Melinda and Dr. Sam are experts at what they do and are concerned and caring individuals. They listen and are very passionate at solving whatever is ailing you. We recommend them to people regularly. Thank you Dr. Melinda and Dr. Sam!

My hand started randomly swelling up one day, especially my pinky, and it got so bad that I couldn't close my hand. I sought out Liferiver Acupuncture and after only two days of treatment, my hand was completely normal. I'm truly amazed! Dr. Hung and Dr. Tseng were very professional, and were easily able to identify the problem and provide specialized care. I felt very comfortable in the clinic, and I truly recommend this place for anyone considering acupuncture.

I have had problems with both of my achilles for quite some time now and once one flares up the other usually follows and I am down for a few weeks. I was concerned how I would handle an upcoming trip to Europe that required a lot of walking on uneven ground, cobblestone, many stairs and uphill climbing. After Dr. Sam Tseng obtained his doctoral degree, he passed the License Exam of the California Acupuncture Board and became a Licensed California Acupuncturist. He focuses on sports injuries, various pain management, and especially instant pain relief, such as neck pain, back pain, knee pain, osteoarthritis pain and Sciatica. He also makes efforts in modernizing the application of herbal medicine and research painless acupuncture applications. He has been practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to the Roseville Area in 2019.

Dr. Tseng started to learn the skill of acupuncture to cure himself and the team members in need of his treatment in high-level Judo and Martial Arts in his early twenties. In addition to pain managment acupuncture, Dr. Tseng expanded his focus to cosmetic acupuncture, and cranial pressure relase therapy (a unique treatment developed by Dr. Tseng to help relieving sleep disorders).
